Hiromi Miyake is a Japanese weightlifter who competes in the 48 kg category. She was born on May 10, 1985, in Kyoto, Japan. Miyake began her weightlifting career at the age of 14 and made her international debut in 2000 at the World Youth Championships.
Miyake has won several medals at international competitions, including the World Championships, Asian Games, and Asian Championships. She won a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics and a silver medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics in the women's 48 kg category.
In addition to weightlifting, Miyake is also an accomplished pianist and has performed at several events. She is also a graduate of Kyoto University of Education, where she studied physical education.
Miyake announced her retirement from weightlifting in April 2021, citing health concerns and a desire to pursue other interests. She leaves behind a legacy in Japanese weightlifting as one of the most successful and beloved athletes in the sport.
